B21 is excited to unveil the next member of our panel at this year’s SBC in Phoenix.
Kevin Smith is currently the Executive Director of the General Mission Board of the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware, and we are very excited that he will be the first state executive to be on a B21 panel!
Dr. Smith has served many years as a pastor in the local church, most recently as the teaching pastor at Highview Baptist Church, in Louisville, KY, and as a distinguished professor in the academy as assistant professor of church history and Christian preaching at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. These experiences elevate him to a unique position of both influence and insight as we seek to talk about the most pressing issues in the SBC.
This year’s panel will revolve around “Faultlines in the SBC.” And Dr. Smith will join Dr. Akin, the president of Southeastern Seminary, and Dr. Moore, president of the ELRC, to discuss the issues that can divide us as Southern Baptists.
