About this Promo video from Ed Stetzer: Dr. Stetzer briefly touches on some of the subjects that will be covered at the panel forum.

Specifically he addresses:
1.    why the Southern Baptist Convention is worth being a part of?
2.    Why he is a Southern Baptist?
3.    If he were King of the SBC for a day, what would he change?
4.    Why should one take time to come to the b21 Panel?

We certainly pray that you will make an effort to be a part of the b21 panel at this year’s convention. Registration info will be coming soon!

  1. Did Wade Burleson or Michael Spencer get invites? Is there a way to attend the convention and not be a messenger? I don’t think any of the SBC churches I belong to have enough spots available to them that would allow me to be a messenger on there behalf (assuming they would let me to begin with). I really want to attend and meet people and see what’s going on, but am not sure how outside of being a messenger.

  2. Blake,

Anyone can attend the SBC. You just have to be a messenger to vote on business.

We’d love for you to attend and hang out.

Question: how do you belong to more than one SBC church?

    Jon

  3. I have an official membership at one church and a “watchcare” membership at the church near where I go to seminary. So I have an official membership where I don’t go to church and I’m treated as a full member of the church near my seminary. I’m not sure if I could technically or officially represent the church I attend while at seminary, but I see no reason why my home church would want me to represent them since I’m completely disconnected from there. So, I’m confused about how my being a messenger could possibly work.
